Show Statement

Like a two-way mirror, “Today, Tomorrow” invites Iraqi artists to reflect on personal and collective legacies while simultaneously providing a window into visions for the future.

Amidst the ashes of crises, where do we find the agency to disrupt? In what form do we resist while carrying the burden of the shadows from which we emerge? How can we critically reflect on and reimagine our ongoing journey?

“Today, Tomorrow” presents an opportunity where we can reclaim historic narratives, redefine legacies, and imagine possibilities.
